Book Arts

In this workshop students celebrated the future of books as physical objects and challenged the way they held, read, view or interacted with books. Students questioned if the book should be treated as an object or as a visual being. A book no longer had to be a readable object. The ideas for the final artifact were developed after critically examining the concept of broken memories and discussing specific films by Jan Svankmajer. The deconstruct of the book was complete with personal journeys, new connections and inner reflections constructed in the form of fine artifacts.
