Hobo Narratives

The primary goal of this studio was to explore, understand and learn character design and persona creation as part of narrative and illustration as a larger subject; and then moving forward to create narratives around this created persona.

The secondary goal of this studio was to respond to this character design with a 3-dimensional mixed media solution. Students experimented with various traditional and non-traditional materials in making a series of masks, with a strong focus on learning to work with scale and the essence of the character in a 3-D format.
