Museum & Gallery Practices

In this course, students focused on the concept of museum education and the broader idea of informal, or self-directed learning. They engaged with actual museum spaces as a lab to try out concepts and programs, and the messages that museums and galleries send out to the viewer. Each student also proposed, conceptualized, and designed a hypothetical exhibition, creating digital models of an exhibition as a space for informal learning.
