Tarq Book Arts Workshop

This was 7-day curated, by-invitation workshop with 8 artists and designers by TARQ gallery, Bombay, for a Book Art workshop from 13-16^th April 2015 which culminated in a presented (open panel) talk by all of us titled, ‘Varied Perspectives and Practices of the Book’.

Key issues that were discussed included books as a tool for interaction; the role of library as a curated space, in particular the relationship of library and book as physical spaces; dealing with the physical space created between the covers; the role of books and the printed medium, as well as issues surrounding publication, distribution and display of the book. The forum was followed by a two-day long compilation and binding exercise.
